But before I say anything, I have not read Halopedia in a long time, I haven't read the books in forever, and my Halo Information is a little rusty at the moment.

I decided to make Spartans an available class for my site "Time of War" after the Human-Covenant War with the year being 2650. But someone pointed out that, why would they continue Spartans now that the bulk of the war was over? So I came up with the idea that they were created to be made as simple peace keepers or reserved forces in case another war occurred in which we would be prepared with a counter attack with Spartans. He then argued that, why spend so much money on the Spartans? I partially agreed with him and decided to make, instead of the Original Spartan-II armor, to use a upgraded SPI Armor from the Spartan-III to produce Spartans cheaper. Then he argued that, why take Children when the desperate measures were over? Again, I partially agreed with him and said that maybe the measures were needed again, but went ahead and said that we would just use Orphans with no one to miss them. He tried to say that the SPI Armor was made for suicide missions and countered with that it wasn't made for Suicide Missions but for a cheaper way to build Spartans. The rest of the argument is basically over but what are your thoughts on this?

______

WARNING: NON-CANON CONTENT APPROACHING

I decided to make a counter-unit against the Spartans with the Japanese-originated faction of the "United Colonies Federation" that have around 7 Colonies in a system(name I haven't made yet.). Knowing that maybe the Japenese MAYBE helped with the Hayabusa Armor, I decided to give them a program called the "SAMURAI" Program. SAMURAIs would be equipped with Hayabusa Armor, and would be manned by a Japenese Samurai, trained since they could walk and expert swordsmen as well as Sharpshooters. Thoughts?

halo meets WoW!?

what do u guys think about a halo mmorpg? i for 1 would love it as i am a halo fanman. i asked the same qwestion on the H3 forums and it was rejected. i think this is due to the hard core fps fanbase and lac thereof any other game types. this forum may be a little more open minded to the idea, so im asking; halo/wow, good idea or bad idea? why?

Think they will ever go back and tell the story of SI's?

I was reading around and a question formed in my head... what was the result of the Spartan-I project? What about the previous Mjolnir I-IV armours?

Do you think they will ever go back and tell the story (in books or games?). I think it would make an interesting game if you were put into the shoes of the first Spartan-I.. fighting rebels with technology that is mostly unreliable. And getting to see things when they are "new", such as testing out the first warthog!

Halo Universe vs. the U.S.

current military vehicles are ofte brought up in halo discussions. Not 100% sure on how Shield Worlds work, but basically you would enter a Slipspace transit and enter into a place safe from the activation of the Halos.

The "Shield World" in Halo Wars does not behave as a "bomb shelter", meaning there is no protection from the Halo Array. Halo Wars' Shield World is more like an armory or a port. It contains a fleet of starships, not salvation.

So my point I'm trying to get across, is that it's not really a Shield World at all, just a really big naval yard.

Any thoughts? Do you agree? Disagree? Or have I gone completely insane from not sleeping for 30+ hours?

Vergil And The UNSC *Spoiler Alert*

Ok, If you've completed Halo 3: odst then you know that Vergil is now with the UNSC. Now, if i know anything about engineers, i know they can "build" or make other engineers. Even though, with 3 engineers it takes about 30 mins to make another one, id say it would take maybe an hour, with just vergil building it. Now, if Vergil was to build another engineer, all of his know, would now be included in the other engineers knowledge as well. Now, this being said, The UNSC could havr thousands of engineers, in a couple years. Now, as im guessing, Vergil knows about plasma weapons, and base shields. So, if there were multiple engineers, working on producing plasma based weaponry, or making a base shield, it would not be very hard for them to make them. Post your thoughts.

The Babysiter. can confidently say that these are legit; either that or someone is an
amazing 3D modeller. Some of the textures and the like seem to be
placeholders, such as the mountains. But a lot of the weapons look
really detailed, and when you compare the new Spartan Laser to the Halo
3 one, you notice the difference, even through those blurry pictures.
Below is what the guy who posted them said:

From OXM UK...

"Overall
gameplay was about the same as the other Halos... They made me play
through the first 3 missions. The first mission was on a pretty big
map, and I had to find other spartans on the map (similar to Halo 1's
second stage where you have to find the crash landed marines).

"Second
stage was pretty action packed, main goal was to take control of
several huge missile guns throughout the map, and provide coverage to a
spartan that would hack into the guns and control them.

"Third
stage was very similar to Halo 1's 3rd stage, Truth and Reconciliation.
You start with a sniper and cloaking perk, you sneak into an enemy base
at night, and you shoot from cliffs."

Other news is that the
battle rifle has returned with single shots and 12 rounds while there's
a new weapon which is a cross between the Spartan Laser and Needler.

There
also appears to be a perks system in place - the perks on display here
are Sprinting (hold RB to run), Cloaking (makes you invisible but jams
your radar) and 'Halogram' (creates a hologram enemies shoot at).

Thoughts?

New Stuff

This Article has been moved. What did you like, and what did you not like?

I'm personally happy with it, while it has some messy areas, it's good to get a clear overview over news and intel. The career section is the part where it seems a little messy, but maybe that's only me.

I was already excited for the Halo anime, and now, after watching the previews at the Waypoint, I'm even more hyped! I think the Halo Waypoint is a pretty clever idea, and it will probably push some people to buy all the Halo games. Say if a person has bought both H3 and ODST, but doesn't feel like buying Halo Wars. Now, if they want to "complete" their career on the Halo Waypoint, they pretty much have to buy/rent Halo Wars too.

Can't wait till Saturday though, full length episode of the Halo anime will be aired!

Plasma: A viable tech for weaponry?

You, know, plasma is the main source for almost all of Covenant weaponry. The standard UNSC pistol could be used as a freakin' anti-air weapon! The rocket launcher obliterated everything nearby, and the vehicles were completely indestructible.

Meanwhile, the Covenant were equiping their highest ranking Elites with fuzzy blue things that did nothing but make the humans laugh, as they used bullets to kill enemies rather than fists.

Then, the UNSC had a sudden urge to "balance" their equipment. They made it so the pistol couldn't kill a grunt, let alone a Covenant ship. They also made it so the vehicles were basicly fast-moving death traps that the enemy could now hijack. The only improvements were that the rocket laucher now fired rockets that could lock on to vehicles, and the UNSC finally saved up enough money to get every marine a driver's license.

At the same time, the Covenant had upgraded their blue fuzzy things into something that resembled a sword, which could now allow the user to fly 50 feet towards any target they wanted. They also developed a weapon similar to the UNSC SPNKR, except the user could fire approx. 1 bajillion rounds before reloading.

The UNSC then developed a weapon similar to the original stardard-issue pistol, but instead of making it standard issue, it was reserved for maniacs who enjoy getting launched from an orbital station into a city for a living.

The Covenant then realized that marines were using the plasma pistol and BR55 together to kill shielded Covenant easier, so they did the only logical thing and made the plasma pistol completely useless.

In order to combat Banshees in the absence of the pistol, the UNSC designed Hornets, a slower moving, hard to operate vehicle that was only semi-competent at killing infantry units.

Not wanting to fall behind on the manufacturing of over-powered weapons that make no sense, the Covenant designed a seven foot tall hammer that could destroy any enemy with one hit. This weapon was of course down graded when the Covenant realized it was useful.

Only with the help of the Elites with their retarded glowy things that are somehow enabled the user to fly towards enemies, was humanity able to survive.

Weapons in the future suck.
