I FJ I: Noctis: I FJ I: No, i said hog rushing wasnt OP, nor was her eco advantage, or atleast not that OP. I do belive the guass spam is OP!!!!
Wait, what? O.o
If her economy bonus isn't OP, then why should her Gauss spam be OP? Why should her Gauss spam be any better than any other UNSC Gauss Spam?
If it was just the Gauss Hogs and not Anders, why mention her at all?
Read closely, i said guass hog spamm in general, not just anders. I dont think her eco bouns is to OP, just allows here guass quicker, but any UNSC can do it pretty quickly, and it is OP.
Read the bold text.
I notice you said "I don't think her eco bonus is too OP". Does that mean that you at least agree that her bonus is over the top? Because in the average game where a UNSC player gets the few basic upgrades(Reserves, Reinforcements, Turret upgrade, leader power), Anders already saves a lot of time and resources for the bare necessities alone.
Aloysius:A few notes:
Title Updates and Patches have a long lead time due to certification
processes and bug fixing. You guys, the community, progressed faster
along the way the designers anticipated for MP. So yes, we're totally
100% aware of the Hog Rush and what fixes might go in for it, but it
couldn't make it in for this TU.
If
you noticed, Hog Rushes really started kicking in once we announced
Covenant Leader nerfs, so players were working against our changes
before we even put them in!
The first DLC pack coming up soon is pretty cool, and I think that a lot of people will really dig the new game types.
This
is understandable, as you have only a small team working on the game,
and you have to make sure that your changes aren't so big that they tip
the scales in the opposite direction(making Anders and PoR the new
Cutter and Chieftain would be an undesirable result).
If you're
open to suggestions however, I would suggest opening a new section of
the forums for possible patch discussions, let players run their course
on what patches should be put in place, and pick the most popular or
most frequently occurring ones as the "possible" patches.
With a
list of patches that would be implemented, you can get feedback on the
possible results before they even happen(as you mentioned earlier).
If
there is a way to exploit or take advantage of anything at all, people
will find it, and they WILL use it. By keeping the community involved
and updated on the changes that you're interested in making, you'll get
an early warning of the potential fallout of the changes before they're
actually implemented.
As far as the new gametypes go...for me, that's merely a question of how much the DLC will cost.
