I would also severly doubt the brutes because if you read the novels the brutes dont show up until after the first halo when master cheif gos on his sabotoge mission. "halo first strike". And since the game is set befor the first halo I would say no.

To me due to the size,shape and ramp that comes down when it lands I say it releases troops and tanks. also probly warthogs! 

I have to say that the lack of info and the trailer has caused an hightened sense of inticipation and to phoinx01 2 wrongs may not make a right but 3 rights make a left!
