I like to think of it a a Reorg. Companys do it on the time... what microsoft is doing is that they are taking the resouces (ES) and relocating most of the them to MGS and the other new studio in the making. my guess as to resoning is that MS and ES thought it was time to get some fresh blood and ideas; give their buissness a facelift so to speak.
