I think we could say upward of 80. As we know that only veterans were recruited into Orion. We can assume as well, that you have to be 18 to Join the UNSCDF, and you probably aren't going to be a battle hardened veteran in one year.

I don't think all of them can but a good many can.

From what I've seen, Endwar has superior graphics but that is beside the point. In a traditional RTS the units just stand in formations,fire, and die. I don't think that would be very interesting.

Think about the life span of the average soldier in this game. Sense it will be a traditional rts it wouldn't be very long. So you would be switching through soldiers eyes very fast. Not to mention that looking through a units' eyes in an rts would probably be boring unless it was something like endwar.

The reason WiC doesn't have base building is because it is supposed to be realisitc and I think the story is pretty deep, better than most rts games anyway.
