• Re: Why do people rush?

RampantKing:First off I am not complaining about rushers, because I can easily rape most rushes with the exeption of the prophet-after-1-minute rush. I am just annoyed with blowing the crap out of warthogs over and over and over again, and I really want to know why people rush. 1) People read the WHOLE post "I can easily rape most ...

  • Re: Tactical vs. Strategic

wodan460:Perhaps instead of the terms Tactical and Strategic, I should useActive and Reactive. The Tactical player acts, the Strategic playerreacts, and both reap the benefits of that course of action. JymXu:There is no doubt that mid to late game strategies can be diverse and equally powerful but, a good rusher will destroy your turret ...

  • Re: The New Rushing Megathread

Rushing isn't over powered its fine just the way it is. The problem is that there are not enough defensive options. Turrets are under powered as they have blind spots and relitivily low health. They become targets to the rusher and are instantly destroyed. This does give time for the defender to work on a counter. Although this almost never ...

  • Re: Tactical vs. Strategic

troythedrummer:Wow these type of threads really make me question if people are spending more time on the forums then playing the game. I mean really kid, really? To let all you fine gentlemen out there that resign or keep complaining about a rush let tell you how a match between good players goes. One party rushes, the other defends ...

  • Re: Basic strategies

If they could fix turtling then booming would work but, I feel that for teching to viable they need to either buff tech 1 and 2 uprades or make them cheaper. Ofcourse they need to fix turtling frist or rushing could become an bigger problem.

  • Re: Tactical vs. Strategic

Grim Fandango: crystal ash: I read the first post with interest. While the phraseology may be slightly out, I think it offers an interesting perspective on different approaches to the game, and feel it's underlying argument is good. Unfortunately, it seems a few posters are trying to turn this into the "rushing beats everything, ...

I agree that rushes can be beat, what I don't like is how you have to beat them (little diversity).

  • Re: Tactical vs. Strategic

Sir Truffles: JymXu: Sir Truffles:Wrong. The game, just like every other rts, follows the same basic principles. These consist of the 3 basic strategies, rush, boom, and turtle, and the many variations in between. Do you even play the game? While there are unique benifits for rushing, booming, teching, and turtling, the benifits for rushing ...

  • Re: Diminishing Returns On Resources

I have just recently noticed this and was wondering if anyone knows the exact return trade off. ie one pad = 10 per sec 2 = 18 per sec 3 = ect. Also has anyone else noticed that your resource turn speed reduces when engaged in combat?
