Taking hooks late game does not have very many advantages... If you think about it a reactor hook would be pointless because by now you should have a tech of 4 a supply hook would be pointless because you should have two bases and with two bases more HSP...   other than that the only hook left getting that would be valuable late game ...

Dont get me wrong great ideas but what about air units couldnt they just fly over the base defense and the lava flow.  Anders would be the obvious power house in those maps....

I was playing a match yesterday and he was cutter and building scorpions.  Being that I scouted him out I built hunters.  After his first wave come and being destroyed he sent me a series of messages the first one was " Hey can you let me win so i can get the achievement?" yea he was a recruit and i took advantage of him : ) so ...

Why don't you play 1 v 1 and not have to worry about whether your two other partners leave or not.....

I turtled for the first time two days ago because my partner and I are sick of people quiting on us.  So we got matched up against some fine gentlemen and waited....eventually they attacked and attacked and attacked.....I wound up maxing out my points after 2 hours at 33,600 points.......I like turtling but be prepared for a long game....
