the left and right sticks on ur control just make sure that they are in the middle 

Make sure that your joysticks are centered when you hit anything.  If their off center by just a little bit it causes you to not be able to hit any buttons. Hope this helps=]

if u play as forge u should have 3, 3 star tanks by 4 minutes anyways before he gets odsts or at least 6 2 star hornets
