A great update, interesting the new design problems that ES is facing with this game - I guess it's a lot different than working on a game where there's no vehicles bigger than horses or cannons.
I kinda hope there aren't that many buildings in the game, but if there is lots there at least they'll be well scaled.

The updates are good - they could be non-existant, and then people would complain even more. Things don't work both ways - people can't ask for updates madly, then complain the updates aren't good enough when they arrive.

The Brutes have been fighting with the Elites for the Prophets' favour for a long time, according to Ghosts of Onyx.
And the Covenant had heard of the Flood before, they were mentioned in some holy Forerunner book or text, but they had no idea what it was until Halo.

Rebels (in outer colonies) that wanted to bring down the UNSC - they were organised with their own leaders and weapons.

You could still build a large defensive base - remember in First Strike the Spartans make a defensive base on Reach to protect the generators - with instant concrete sorta stuff. Towers, firing pits, maybe an armoury/rough supply centre.

C, been playing Ensemble games for ages, not AOE 3 though because my PC would've exploded.

There should be no "unit creating" buildings, either, because it's just unrealistic. Bringing in troops by Pelican or from off the map is best.
