The stripes are meant to represent the reflections of one side of the ring. It's clearly just a flare, but why ruin everyones fun?

oh, not in any of my reviews though. That was just in Marinedude and mine war against the fan fics where I was specifically trying to harsh lol.   Besides, like you said, it was kinda true.
