    Re: soundtrack

Yes it has been discussed, the soundtrack will feel alot like Halo, but be their own game in it's own right.

Just to prevent flaming, I'm locking this, senior members please don't post.

    Re: soundtrack

I think the music pieces I have heard thus far for the game sound great. I wish I could say more, maybe at some point I can convince the powers that be to release a sample track for a monthly update.

Oh wow, ty paragon for clearing that up.  I was going to lock the thread, but I was talking AIM so it took too long, then you showed up lol.

If you could convince Oh-Holy Devine to let thunder include that, we would all go crazy.

Wait... We have user mods now? or did you mean the "Options>Do not allow replies" thing?

I'm glad to hear the music is coming along and sounds great.

I think he means the second one.... It doesn't permanently lock a thread either, just that one post.

    Re: soundtrack

I hope it has classic rock like FPS, but there is less action(Duh!) than FPS, so maybe some more peaceful music.

Also, maybe songs from Halo 1 and Halo 2.

P.S: This is the first time I've seen Paragon in a thread without locking it. Also, yes, Dud locked his post, not the thread. I did that on "NEW questions about Flood."

    Are you reading this? Hi.

    Re: soundtrack

I think the classic piano halo style with an orchestra is good for most of the game, but I've played RTS's where they were able to add an electric guitar in an almost classical music sort of way so it sounds more serious and exciting, kind of modern edgy sounding, but bacicly I don't think head banging matalica style would work for Halo Wars as well as it did for Halo 2.

    Re: soundtrack

I like the idea of the piano/orchestra music.  What about having a soundtrack like the old AOE.  One or two tracks that lasts about 30 minutes.
