First of all, banning Sparta XC = win, it shows that Waypoint actually can do something about the leaderboards. However, WILL something be done?
As of right now the entire first 3 pages of 2v2, half the front page of 1v1, and almost the entire front page of 3v3 are boosted, as well as almost every Deathmatch/Reinforcements/Keep Away playlist.
If you can remove individual players from the leaderboards, a reset would be absolutely amazing, combined with the ability to remove boosters when sufficient evidence is provided.
However, where do you draw the line? I understand that Coco hates me for rather inappropriate things done to him, but is he just getting revenge on me or is it actually going to be a tool constantly being used? Do you only ban people who resign to themselves, or derank "softcore" boosters as well? Does Waypoint have the ability to look at games past the last 20?
If he's planning on banning all current boosters, goodbye to the entire 2v2/3v3 front page and half the 1v1 front page.
I think the ONLY and BEST solution right now would be to have a leaderboard reset, and anyone who boosts after than, whether by deranking or resigning, gets banned.
How would you know, you ask? The entire community would be watching out for boosters and would do something similar to what VERMM did by exposing them with plenty of evidence.
However, the difference would be that where VERMM got ignored, Waypoint can actually do something, perhaps with a thread where people would submit evidence, etc.
