i have no idea how i can get rid of scarabs. i usally use odst and allies usally make tanks or hawks. what would one need to do to easily destroy scarabs. i have tried mac blast, but it doesn't seem to work all the time

The Scarab is a Vehicle so if your playing with cutter try using cobras to surround it and deal damage. Every time the Scarab has to turn around it stops firing so this buys you time to keep bringing new units to the battle. After you drop your ODSTs make sure to use their Y ability so that it can refresh faster and you can use them again soon. In the likely case the scarab your facing is covered by a large amount of engineers, Make wolverines and target and destroy the engineers before you assault the scarab  and waste your MAC blast.

when your the humans and if your on a 2v2 or 3v3 team, use teamwork to take it out, use a carpetbomb/mac blast combo or a cyro/mac blast combo.  create cobras and have all team members focus all fire on the scarab first, then take out any smaller units...

Surrouding the scarab with Cobras/Assault Beam Hunters often seems to work. The scarab turns very slowly, so you can use that to your advantage. And if the enemy spams engineers to heal the scarab, target the engineers first. With leader powers if neccessary.

I personally have found that surrounding it with ODSTs and then MAC blasting it will take care of your little bug problem. However, I have never gone up against an enemy that uses Engineers on their Scarab, so I don't have a strategy for that. But if your playing Halo 3, HIT IN THE ANKLE!

Hey dude, normally if  u r playing 3vs3 o 2vs2 and if they make a almost invencible unit wich is a scarab with 30 healers on it, its so hard to kill, if u are cutter do all ur army of wolverines and go and face it then try to mantain ur army as close as possible to the scarab u will notice that the scarab cant fire to most of ur units then use the y ability all the same time, if u have the 20 fully upgraded wolvis, u will do  half damage and will the healers will have no chance to heal it, keep chasing it until is dead and use ur mac blast for sure, also hawks and cryobomb u wont have problems, with the covies take ur leader as close as possible and keep teleporting hunters, if the scarab is surrounded is very easy to kill,

Be UNSC and get Cobras and some Cyclops. Surround the scarab and watch it fall. If you get as close to it as possible, its beam cannot hit you. This happened to me when I had 2 scarabs and 10 engineers. I went bye-bye...
