anyone know how MW2 has affected Halo3?

    anyone know how MW2 has affected Halo3?

    everyone is moaning/ rejoicing/ sad that halo wars is dying - but does any1 know how the halo3 population has been hit?

    Not too badly.  The last top 10 from Major Nelson showed Halo 3 at number three, behind Call of Duty: World at War and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 at one.  The thing about CoD games is that they lack longevity at number one.  I think it'll only take several months for Halo 3 to be back in fighting shape for number one.

    CoD just spams decent games every year. Where ES/Bungie release incredible games every 3-5 years.

    they are always there...

    halo 3 has about 300k people on when i was on, not really much of a hit because most people playing halo 3 now is really hardcore about it.

    You get the new people who still pop up. I've encountered quite a few of them in the past month.

    Not really.  It's the typical ebb and flow.  Ever since CoD4, Halo 3 has rebounded.  Why?  Halo 3 has more longevity.  I imagine it will hit number one at least one more time before the launch of Reach, and then that will take number one for a good while.

    i agree about longetivity. so many game options and what makes halo attractive is luck - despite experts pwning with the br. even a first time player can get 1 kill on ranked per round. which is something
