Units -
I been wondering if people would actually enjoy the idea of being able to use Alternate Main and Anti Units.
EX: Lets say I highlighted Grunt Squad, if I were to press RT, then 2 alternate squads will appear. Elite Squad and Grunts.
Let's say Default Grunt Squad (Consisting of 2/3 grunts and a Elite, has 20 HP, 10 DEF, and 15 ATK.
The Elites Squad, which consists of 2/3 Elites, and Plasma Rifles has 30HP, 15 DEF, and 25 ATK. Y Ability is Plasma Grenades, but with Elite Squad, takes 1/3 longer to recharge.
The Grunts, which consists of 4/5 Grunts and Plasma Pistols, has 25 HP, 7 DEF, and 19 ATK. Y Ability is a Charged Plasma Pistol, stunning Vehicles
Catch to this would be:
Unupgradable
Price is higher if it is more efficient than the default unit, less if less efficient.
Stats wouldn't be the same

Bases -
For my second part, you know how on those 1V1 and 2V2 levels there are spaces for buildings which doesn't take up your base space? What if you could build alternate buildings used to build special units?
Ex : Mega Turret (1/1) or Plasma Scorpion Depot (Lets you buy 1 Plasma Scorpion for 600 Resources, 1/1)

My point is, Halo Wars needs a big a diversity of units as campaign did, who agrees with this, and why?
