Is it just me or are people who play as Captain Cutter getting worse and worse? I have played this game constantly since its release and have played with and against my fair share of Captain Cutter players but lately they seem to be getting worse. For some reason they seem to think that they can run off one base, only spam ODSTs and rely on their MAC blast to win the game. Then they get mad when their units fall and their one and only base gets destroyed, resign and blame everyone else for their failure. Is it so hard to understand that no matter who you are playing you need to build more then one unit in order to stand a chance at winning and you need to be able to change adapt and counter your opponents units and strat? Its gotten to the point where I dread having a Cutter, or 2, as my allies and I almost get depressed when I see I am facing Cutter cuz I know it won't be much fun. I am just wondering if anyone else out there has experienced this and is as frustrated as I am getting?

I have faced ALOT of cutter players and I must say there are some cutter players who have made me wish I was that good with cutter and put up HUGE fights. Sadly I havnt faced one in a while but o do I remember my last fight with one *sigh* why cant I face anyone good in MM anymore I used to play SOME good poeple but no one good plays anymore.

I know lol I have faced some amazing Cutter players and I mean ODSTs and the MAC are great for supporting other units they just can't be used by themselves unless the enemy is a complete and total "fine gentalman."

I guess it's bad luck for you or something? About ODSTs and MAC. They are great support advantages that cutter has. ODSTs are a little bit like biofoam. You can use them to replace dead units and keep pressure on the enemy while you send in reinforcements. MAC are like, pick-and-fire type... Giant snipers... They are good when you need to destroy a group of let's say, enemy tanks? Or when you want to destroy a base, or both!

I like to use cobras and wolverines with ODSTs supporting, an elephant keeps things interesting (can train emergency flamethrowers and replace spartans as well as emergency ODSTs. Rarely but only if I prosper, I add in a vulture or some hornets. I like cutter in deathmatch 2 vs 2 I guess.

If I could describe Cutter's general aspect, I would say: Advanced field deployment and replacement.

It works well sometimes. Are you talking about 1v1 only? I'm not trying to defend these players or anything, but when I play as Cutter 3v3 random I almost always spam ODSTs and use quad MAC. It works surprisingly well because I'm enough of a distraction for my teammates to win the game. The thing is it's more about doing it for fun and I do it against nooobs. If I see someone thats ranked pretty high on the other team I am forced to play hardcore, so I spam Elephants instead.

Oh I agree with you completely in fact I have done that myself a few times when I have actually decided to play Cutter. I guess what I am talking about is in 3v3 and both team mates are Cutter and they don't communicate and they both spam ODSTs and MAC and my army is not strong enough to protect them both so they get upset and resign or are defeated. Now that I think about it I probably should have started a different topic about "communication fail" lol. For 1v1 my only issue is disappointment cuz every time they spam ODSTs they are too easy to overwhelm (which I do), then they resign and whine about losing which is frustrating to me because it would have been such a simple thing for them to counter me and yet they didn't and I'm the one to blame? Maybe it is just bad luck on my part I just wish I could actually play with or against less whiny people. I miss the good Cutters I guess :(

The problem with cutter is that once you get past tech 2,all upgrades take so long to purchase,and are very expensive.
