Every time I matchmake on hw, the whole system crashes and i have to reset the xbox! Anyone else having this problem?

Try playing other games online. is it only Halo wars' matchmaking that causes the crash? If so, stop playing Halo Wars is my only advice. Sorry.

 

If it crashes on other games too, contact MS.

What happens when it crashes? Does your game freeze? Go black? Go screwy?

If it freezes, can you still Call Up the Xbox 360 dashboard, or is it completely frozen?

The screen freezes, but sound still works, controller input is not recognised. It's completely weird but i managed to get into a game last night but most tries result badly. My siblings told me they often have had similar problems with call of duty 4, 5 & mw2 (on the same console). I'm in Australia and the internet standards here are crap! It's either my 360 or our local internet connection, so thats why i'm wondering if anyone else has the same sort of problems.

Your laser might be dirty. Try taking it to a game store and getting them to clean it. It will probably cost $15-20, but it's cheaper than buying a new console or game.

Before you do that though, call the xbox support line to make sure or to get additional help.

Try installing the Game to your HDD. Thats helps a lot.
