Under the new ranking system, a General will now be the equivalent in points to a Commander under the original ranking when the game was published. It used to be 800,000 just to get your 2 stars and 1,600,000 to get your 3 stars. I agree that was too high and deservedly got lowered. I honesty think the new rankings are too low, but I think they are lowering them for a number of reasons. First off is to try to get some people back on this game. I know I will be one of them. I am one step away from being a brigadier and I will just jump right over that and go to general. The running the show achievement is a little crazy the way it is now. You have all 1150 points in the game MONTHS before you finally get that one. I kept playing away and playing away then my buddies got tired of the game and stopped and now i am stuck playing alone so I wound up disappearing as well. Maybe this will put a spark to get some players back. What is the average amount of people on at any given time nowadays anyway???
My question is this, with everyone being generals with your rank still go down when you win games??? Does it calculate people's rank when figuring true skill. Does a general realistically need to face other generals to actually go up. Does he get penalized when facing commanders??? I never got into the nuances of trueskill but if robot makes everyone the same rank maybe that is their way of fixing the problem that they have no control over. (trueskill is a M$ thing)
just my thoughts.
