Happened to me today! All I did was send my leader over and he (the general) jumps on his mic going 'oh dude come on, lets just play a nice fair game' 'dont be a dickhead' 'ill let you win just back off'. I got challenged to a rematch yesterday (which i won by a large amount) by a 2v2 team that thought that me using a covenant leader was unfair and who made me play as unsc.

I still don't understand how people that have played THAT many games can still think rushing is cheating and still not know how to stop it.

I can't wait until some of you people make General. Then you'll see how nonsensical all this crap sounds like. I love getting the hate mail as to why I rush, if and when I do that is. Besides, being a General doesn't automatically make you good, just means you've played a boatload of games...

My name is Legion, for we are many...

And out of the smoke, Locusts came down upon the earth and were given power like that of scorpions of the earth...

    Cool.

If it's nonsensical and if it doesnt maek you good, I dont see the issue of it being reduced for people new to the game.

Because then being a general will mean absolutely nothing.  Some current generals aren't the best, but I've played against colonels that still build 3 unit making buildings on their initial base with unupgraded supply pads....And to think those players are now going to be close to if not generals after TU4, that's just ridiculous.

    Re: Stop crying Mr Generals

People were always saying that rank doesnt matter.

It doesnt.  ANd it shouldnt.  ANd it wont.

The reason so many Generals sucked was for a few reasons.

-They had to boost to get it because it was THAT HARD. (especially when it was at 4 million)

-They just stopped caring about being good--they got bored.  So much of a tedious grind there was no fun left or accomplishment after so much grinding.

-They only played 3v3 UA or DM to get to said rank, or only did it because they got the most points there.

Now that people in 1v1 will actually have a chance to get General easier, I'm sure we'll notice a lot more good generals.

Stop acting like this is the end of the world.  People here always say that rank doesnt matter--now that Robot is making it more fair for newer players to get--your'e acting like your d*ck is about to be cut off.

    Re: Stop crying Mr Generals

I'm just saying it's a bad idea.  They already lowered it once, that was understandable.  But to lower it to less than 1 million points especially this late after release date makes no sense.  I don't why you think there will be more good generals, obviously there will be a lot more total, but a greater percentage will be worse.  If you look at all the ranks, most of the top players are generals, people just expect every general they face to beat them...which is unrealistic.

    Re: Stop crying Mr Generals

They're lowering it because less than .5% of hte population has General Rank post-reset and it's not an Achievement--it's a grind.  An Achievement should not be this hard to get.

    Re: Stop crying Mr Generals

Achievements should take some time and effort to get.  You don't need every achievement for every game so if it is too hard for you to get, then go play something else.

I've been playing this game since the day of release.

Now given, I stopped with THIS account for about 2 months.

    I'm not even a 3 star yet.

The rank either takes boosting or endless grinds.  That's not what an achievement should be.

    That is all.

rank gives a general idea. its somewhat helpful when you play unarranged. i would much rather have brigs and generals on my team than colonel or commanders and below. experience is valued in life, thats why people irl are hired with more experience. this however is not always true so people say it means nothing, but in general the more experience = higher performance.

although some people never learn from thier mistakes so they continue to be bad no matter how much they play.
