i've not got the live but i can say you that in all level you have some seconday mission (in level 1, you have to kill 100 grunts). When you complete that, watch the minimap. The point the skull is will be pointed. So, no problem.

For black boxes i think that the best answer is to look on youtube for a video with all locations
