Hi im a Captain rank in Halo wars and am finding it really hard to gain exp. I have about 59k exp to go b4 I rank up, but i average around only 250 xp per game! 

 

Any tips on how to improve my xp gain?  :s

Play deathmatch or team games. you get a lot of xp:)

Try to kill everything the enemy hasn't killed. So if there's a Flood base somewhere that nobody has taken out, kill the Flood and take the slot to extend your bases. The more Flood you kill, more extra points.

im no pro but ive noticed and try to destoy all the surrounding structures (ie;barrax,supplypads,temples,etc...) befor i go in for the kill for extra points. thats if im in a winning position and my teammates allow it. killing all flood, sentinals, rebals, etc... put it this way, the more you blow up the more points u get. if your dominating dont just go for the quic kill, enjoy ur meal and eat the arms and legs off of the structure first. winning on top that is a great bonus as well. i run cutter alot, and my highest score was about 8500 in a single match 1st place. far from my average as im just a "fine gentleman" not a general...

You get the same amount of points if kill the entire base, rather than killing it building by building.

really? i did an experiment to test my theory and it did not seem that way. no math genius here just a gamer, but there does seem to be a difference in the amount of points i get when going for the throat vs going for the systematic approach.

When you just destroy th main base, the building still blow up individually, but they still count for the same amount of points.
