Now that Halo Waypoint is officially open to public, I'm curious about your opinions on it. What did you like, and what did you not like?

I'm personally happy with it, while it has some messy areas, it's good to get a clear overview over news and intel. The career section is the part where it seems a little messy, but maybe that's only me.

I was already excited for the Halo anime, and now, after watching the previews at the Waypoint, I'm even more hyped! I think the Halo Waypoint is a pretty clever idea, and it will probably push some people to buy all the Halo games. Say if a person has bought both H3 and ODST, but doesn't feel like buying Halo Wars. Now, if they want to "complete" their career on the Halo Waypoint, they pretty much have to buy/rent Halo Wars too.

Can't wait till Saturday though, full length episode of the Halo anime will be aired!

It was stated in one of the videos that Halo Waypoint will attempt (and most likely suceed) to bridge ALL the Halo games, books, etc into canon. This includes Halo Wars, but does not include aspects that are known to not be canon, such as the episode in Halo: Legends, Odd One Out.

I find the way point to be very usefull. It also allows people who don't buy the books or games { vise-visa } The ablilty too know about what is going on with or in them. Its something that i hopfully will become a very large thing and not just spam nobody likes.

my box redringed the day befor waypoint came out, so i dont get to see all the cool stuff until they fix it. i have all but one achievement (except halo2 for windows) and that is the imfamous general rank.

How are they going to bridge canon of a series in which there are already multiple contradictions?

The only way to do it would be to say "Yeah, this was wrong. We changed our minds/we didn't realise we were breaking previously established canon," something I doubt they're going to do.

Bungie didn't make Waypoint. Waypoint was made by 343 Studios. So it would be up to them to include more Halo Wars stuff.
