Okay, I'm bored and I want to spark some interest in keep-away, so I decided to try and field a 2v2 keep-away tournament.  There will be a small prize of some kind, probably something like a 1600 MSP card, assuming I can get enough teams.

General Rules:

1. alternates are allowed, but may fill in for no more than 1 game per round.  An alternate may never serve on more than one team (if you act as an alternate in round 1 for team A, you cannot serve as an alternate to team B in round 2, nor can you be part of team B normally)
2. Cryotech will be allowed as it would be too much of a headache to ban and it still has clear counters available to exploit against it.
3. Exactly 16 teams may compete, if that many teams do not enroll, the tournament will either be lessened to 3 2v2 rounds and a 1v1 face off of the winning team, or canceled completely.  UPDATE: I am lowering the bracket to 8 teams to ease the filling of all slots.  The winning team will have a 1v1 face-off for the prize.
   
4. Each round is a best 2 out of 3 games
5. Rounds must be completed within 3 days of match-up posting (This will be counted as the end of the posting day plus the 72 hours following the change of date)
6. Game links should be PMed to me after round completion as well as posted here
   
7. If the other team fails to show at an agreed upon match time, they have 24 hours to reschedule before it is counted as a forfeiture
8. Maps have already been chosen for each round.  Memorial Basin has been omitted to allow for a larger pool of possible entries, and each other 2v2 map appears twice.  Maps will be posted at the start of each round
   
9. Tournament play is elimination based.
10. use of secondary accounts is considered the use of an alternate
    
11. To enter, please post: your team name, both player's gamertags, links to stat pages, and the skill level associated with each account (the big number underneath your card on the stat page).
12. Alternates will not be allowed on the final round.

I'll try to pair up individual sign-ups with people of similar skill levels.  I also will try to set up a system which allows a partner lemon law for single sign ups.

It is one of the DLC gametypes. Essentially, the base loss timer is removed (you still die if you have no base and units though), and the game centers around capturing a random protector floating around the map.  if you catch it, then you need to keep the unit that caught it alive for a minute and a half to score.  4 points ends the game (or utter destruction of opponents).
