    Mods/Devs

With the new openess and seeming activity of the Mods in the community i think it'd be a good idea if we got more of an idea about you guys

First off, do you all work in an office with the devs and techs (or are you guys the techs too?) or from home, if so, what do you do while you're not posting? turn around and talk to the other mods?

Second, what sort of games (besides the given RTS such as AoE) do you guys like to play?

Third, what's it like working for a gaming company, is it like a close knit community with alot of fun and socialising or a whip cracking grey office where you're all in your own cubicals and that couch in the photo's is purely for special occasions?

And fourth, do you guys have some sort of favourite take out near you that you order lunch for work? and is there a top 10 list?

*sorry if another thread like this has been posted, i asked UNSC and he said he couldn't remember anyone asking the mods questions like this*

And there's probably tonnes of other questions people want to ask

    Edit:

I'll post some other questions to make it easier too, so people don't re-post them cause they can't be bothered looking through pages

What music are you guys into? (directed at the mods. not the community)

How did you get into the job, were you always with ES or did they recruit you when they announced halowars?

Some of the features in the screenies look like some of our suggestions, are they based on our suggestions or were they planned to be included from the begining?

    Re: Mods

Of course they'd clock off at some point, i meant do they work from home or do they go to the ES office to work and if they work in the same area as the other mods, say if they found a funny thread or some funny video if they turn around and tell the other mods about it

    1. We (mods) work both from home and at the office...

    2. Almost anything on the 360 (when I can get it away from my son)...

3, Great as you might expect, in a very relaxed, fun atmosphere/environment...

    4. We occasionally have meals catered in...

    Both

Spend time with the family, play games (various 360 games, and lots of WoW), read, tv, movies. The normal geeky fun stuff.
turn around and talk to the other mods?
    That too.

Second, what sort of games (besides the given RTS such as AoE) do you guys like to play?
I spend way too much time playing WoW.

Third, what's it like working for a gaming company, is it like a close knit community with alot of fun and socialising or a whip cracking grey office where you're all in your own cubicals and that couch in the photo's is purely for special occasions?
Working in a place where everyone is passionate about the project they are on is awesome. Sure there are some days of long hours and hard work, and there is also plenty of fun and joking around.

And fourth, do you guys have some sort of favourite take out near you that you order lunch for work? and is there a top 10 list?
Everyone has there own favorite food place, but I could not really say that there is a company wide favorite. For me, I am simple geek, give me Pizza.

    Re: Mods

Yeah, it definetly beats alot of other jobs and sounds quite fun

    Edit:

Wow, you guys really seem quite human now

Another question, how exactly did you get into the job? have you always been with the ES team or did they recruit you guys on the announcement of halowars via an ad or something?

    Heads up to everyone:

Paragon plays WoW. Now we can all bug him oabout Halo Wars info utside of the forum.

That's actually pretty cool. I didn't know that the older crowd was into that stuff. But, then again, you work for a video game company.

    Re: Mods

I'd guess MMO's are good training for mods, you'd have to deal with all sorts of behaviour and become very patient..
