Someone who considers themself a top player is one, i guess.

A player that knows what to do and when to do it. Lol, not sure if top or just medium level.

I enjoy loosing, but I never want to loose. So it makes me upset when it happens, but when it does, I take it.

(I only don't like loosing because everyone talks trash if they win, they begin acting like they are +1 on you)

my definition of a top player is someone who has

1. a brain

2. uses it with extreme percision and actually thinks things through and develops his gameplay by himself not with a tutor

3. someone who is in top 100 for 1v1 , 2v2 and 3v3 ( as long as they didnt boost or could get there without boosting )

4. if u can get in top 100 with cutter or arby for 1v1 ( like me yay )

edit: is this thread because nate said he beat soupy and gilberg and said they were top players ( soupy is imo) but gilberg havent played with him really

 Someone who can consistently beat me or plays as a disadvantaged leader and still manages to get top 100 in 1v1 or 50 in the others.

 Quite good, but most of my tactics have been taught to me which i would say even if i did get into the top 50 (which i wont) I would consider people who came up with the strats better.

 Only when it's a good battle. Honestly I find it most fun when your slowly losing a close battle and your rattling through your mind thinking of a unit/upgrade/building/attacking stategy that would give you the upper hand. (like when you recyle a supply pad because you know you cant win with your current built units and have to decide things like "hornets no time for wingmen unless... or marines, might be able to get rpg but...")

Someone who considers themselves a Top Player, and has the TS/Leaderboard ranking to back it up

 

What do you consider yourself?

Upper mid-level. I know what I'm doing, know some good builds for various leaders, and I have good micro. I adapt, communicate well, and am willing to sacrifice a little time on my build/points if it means doing something else to help the team now (healing leaders, dropping the early CB/MAC to finish off a base and make it a 3v2, etc.

someone who knows "exactly " what to do in all situations, can fend off 2 verse 1 rushes  for several minutes or even completely while teammates are booming / attacking because of micro(1v1 would be your best practice defending a rush) top players seem to always have an army, and a backup plan

A top player is one who can handle his own in a fight.  A top player can quickly change strategies to counter his opponent.  A top player is someone with the skills and intelligence to beat his opponent.

 

I am a decent player.  I could probably hold my own against a top player but ultimately lose to them in the end.  As long as I get past the first offensive attack.

 

I hate loosing but it is also a learning experience so I don't mind.  I also don't lose that often.
