LaZy FrOg: Has any one tried building a marine cobra army reinforced with cyclops and slowly moving from turtle to a push.
If not do you think the cyclops could be key to beat gremlins easier, since it allows enough time to lock down while being healed, so the cobras dont die when going for the offensive.
I dont play forge often, but it sounds solid. Idk
The major problem with gremlins is that they can build under 2 minutes in the game, and they start with the disable ability. This makes you build defense, turrets, or marines and cobras. But you have to go much further and spend more resources than Anders will. This is why a very good Anders will always take down Forge on maps like Pirth. Where you have to go completely defense. If you try to fight even terms, warthogs and marines/flames to take hooks, you'll lose. Tried it, you'll be out of money and out of units, so defense is the last thing. But on a map like that, if I were playing Anders I would lock in the defensive Forge and Anders has the game from the start.
Buying cobras, marines, and cyclops... possibily turrets, is way too much money cost to just counter gremlins.
You could always keep the carpet bomb as handy, but disruption bomb Anders can use too.
My suggested changes for gremlins are:
tech 1: buy gremlins, they start without stun ability
tech 2: upgrade damage beam, more damage
tech 3: upgrade single stun ability. Not chain-amp
That would definitely be more fair.
