Are Bungie, Robot & Bonfire developing games for Project Natal?

Microsoft obviously wants developers to be getting their hands on the new hands free control system and massing a large variety of games for its launch next year. Given this, I don't think it's any coincidence that an excellent team like Ensemble were to be split up for 'developing new games where the consumers are spending' (family friendly and interactive games on the Wii & DS) shortly before the announcement of Project Natal. Question is: are Bungie, Robot and Bonfire developing games for Project Natal? or more importantly (in this thread), are they going to develop something HaloWars or Halo related for Project Natal??     (Halo:Reach?? Halowars2/expansion?? BurgerTime:HD?? AOE4??)

Re: Are Bungie, Robot & Bonfire developing games for Project Natal?

I read on Joystiq, that RTS cant really be done with natal.

Tom Clancy is having a go though, but if its anything like End War, i wouldnt get my hopes too high for an Natal RTS.

Ensamble/Robot tend to make PC games, I belive HW was their first xbox title. So its not likly that they will be making a natal game considering RTS cant be done, and they dont do xbox games.

Its been said that Reach doesnt use Natal.

All Natal games seem to be aimed at the casual market, I dont think there will be any decent "hardcore" games for it. Its just a Wii with better graphics.

I agree with I FJ I that RTS would be difficult with Natal. Microsoft may have been thinking the same considering this article:

    http://www.develop-online.net/news/32096/Report-Axed-Ensemble-not-the-right-studio-for-Natal

That said, we dont know precisely want genres either Bungie (after Reach), Robot and Bonfire are developing and I believe development kits are available from Microsoft to game studio partners so there could well be some Natal action from the above.

Bungie and Epic games looked at the possibilities, they didn't fit with the games they make so they have tossed it aside.

Think that new units/leaders/factions are possible or going to be added? Think again, read the linked thread.

Re: Are Bungie, Robot & Bonfire developing games for Project Natal?

AoE4 better have nothing to do with Natal, and it sure-as-hell better not be on the xbox 360. It'll be way to complex for consoles.

Natal is so pointless. Any good game out will not be compatible with it, or if made so, it will take all the fun out of it. I don't want to get a *** exercise just to play Modern Warfare 2, NHL 10, or Castle Crashers...

Remind me again why I want to wave my arms in the air and play imaginary with my xbox...I would have bought a Wii if I wanted a totally lame console (Smash bros and Mario Galaxy are the exceptions).

Try playing FIFA 10 with a Natal setup...Good luck with that.

I think an RTS game with your hands would be awesome. Lets not forget that it has voice recognition too. Just one hand controls your army and the other WMDs. :)

    Problems with Wii:

    No Halo

    Bad Graphics all the time

    Made by Nintendo

    No Halo

    Motion controller disconnects a lot

    No Halo

    Good parts:

A somewhat new and innovative idea.

I had Metroid Prime 2: Echoes

That game sucked, I only got to 64% complete before I got totally bored.

     I. Never. Finished. It. And I don't regret it at all.
