For people who have read all three books

Once again if you haven't read all three books more then once then this is not for you.
Ok i have a few questions about the books that has really made me wonder?
    1) What happend the the 3 spartans that make it back to earth with MC.
    2) Where do you believe Dr.Hasley took the one spartan Female.
3)What is the Significance of earth and other plants to the Covenant.
There are other questions but please just hepl me figure this out.
I'm sorry if these questions have been asked before. So please don't be forum Nazi's about it if they've already been asked.

I've read all three books but I don't have them with me to check. I think they may have been injured sufficiently to be considered out of action.

    Spartan032:
    2) Where do you believe Dr.Hasley took the one spartan Female.

Story-wise I don't think it matters. The exit is supposed to be mysterious. It gets them out of the picture and, I think, was supposed to stop fans from clamoring to see Halsey or other Spartans in the Halo FPS games.

    Not that it achieved that.

    Spartan032:
3)What is the Significance of earth and other plants to the Covenant.

Certain worlds contain Forerunner artifacts, structures, and installations. The Heretic makes mention of them in Halo 2. Some, like the mining installation he took refuge on, have been retrofitted for Flood storage and study.

The books suggest that certain sites contain artifacts that act somewhat like a trail of breadcrumbs, and lead to more important installations. It would seem as if Regret was following such a trail, which led to Earth and from there to Delta Halo.

Truth, once he got his hands on 343 Guilty Spark, discovered the Earth had a greater significance. In fact, he leaves High Charity to go there even before the Arbiter stops Delta Halo from firing.

Guilty Spark closes Halo 2 by suggesting that there is an installation called "The Ark" from which it is possible to activate all the Halo installations remotely once the system has gone into standby mode as a result of an aborted activation attempt, as has happened on Delta.

There is a strong suggestion that it is located at Earth.

There is strong evidence that the artifact seen in the Halo 3 Announcement Trailer is that artifact-- The Ark.

There are certainly bound to be other significances to the Forerunner, and thus, the Covenant. Not the least of which is why humans are referred to by the Monitors as "Reclaimers".

Reclaim what? From who? Who gave them that title?

Narc, from what I remember at the end of First Strike, Linda (the best sniper), Fred (Blue lead), and James were not injured enough to be considered out of action. I actually expected to see them in Halo 3. Linda might have required more R&R time, but not the other 2. Spartan life is certainly more grueling than what they went through. Or at least is "as grueling."

    Good post as usual.

James is gone at the end of First Strike, it's only Fred, Will, Linda and John that go back to Earth.

    Kelly, however isn't. :(

I also think there is greater significance to the dissapearence of the Docter and Kelly, since they make a big deal out of it.

The CPOMZ could stand for CPO Mendez... although this fact still deludes everybody.

Re: Only for people who have read all three books

On the trailer for halo wars it only showed 5 spartans so i was thinking its John Fred Will Linda and Kelly but that was just wishful thinking and am i the only one that believe for every xbox you have hooked up you should be able to have two more people for campaign like up to 8 because that would be so awsome

Re: Only for people who have read all three books

I have no idea what lildude4life is saying.

Thanks for the correction, Fusbun. James did in fact die a long time ago.

To Spartan032: Like was said, Kelly is unavailable. So she can't take part in any of the battles where there's ONLY 5 Spartan IIs present. But that's all moot, as the story takes place BEFORE Halo 1 -  when they were 33 Spartans IIs. In the 27 years before the events of Halo 1. The armor looks to be a Mark IV, not III, the immediate precursor to the Mark V seen in Halo 1 and the VI seen in Halo 2.

also theyve already told us that this game takes place before halo 1 so really all the spartans are still alive i think there were around 25-30 that survived all the training and agumentations it thats how you spell it so we could be able to use  all the spatans

thats right this is before the first halo game but what i dont understand is in the trailer why are they useing battle rifels shouldnt they be using the MA5B assult rifle in first strike which is after halo one they use battle rifels but they say there experimentle weapons so how do they have them in the trailer

Re: Only for people who have read all three books

Has anyone but me listened to the I love Bees audio files? Its a story that gives a lot of background in the Halo universe (but it never really "happened" cannon wise). In that, two Spartans have a kid that's all super soldiery too. Makes me think that them Spartans should start breeding in the novels to make some more of them!

Anyway, I've just got to get this out there: I hated how we followed Fred for most of the third book and then Masterchief comes around there was hardly any character progression of the guy. Jeez, way to steal back the limelight Master Chief.

James didn't actually die, it's just assumption. He was blasted off the spacestation on a mission. So he might of survived and is one of the few real "Missing in Action" spartans.

no the battle rifle isnt the prototype the talk about in the book that ones stronger if it was the prototype it would tear the marines shoulders clean off because the wepoens for the spartans are much stronger and have alot more kick the BR exsited before the first game it just wasnt everyones favorite wepeon.  I'm thinking in the trailer this is there first ground incounter with elites because in the first book i think they had the first fight on an icy world im going to cheack into this.

The gun in the book was the BR---It just wasn't in mass use because more people would prefer the MA-5B, but the BR was still available, but maybe only in areas where an S2-AM sniper's rifle wasn't available. (But lets not forget that this is just a trailer made using what's available-not the actual HW engine, rather, another one. Also, it's just a teaser trailer, get over it). And first enocounter was at Harvest - they never really explained just what kind of world Harvest was, just that it was the location of First Contact, and that it was taken back from the Covenant, only to find it glassed. Also, it could be a prototype BR-56 specially designed for Spartans.
