    I needz a Prophet strategy.

Seriously it feels like evreygame I am limited to harassing early with my Prophet, massing Banshees and attacking.

    Yawn much?

Anyone have any strategies/tips they'd like to share?

Naww but he's amazing in some situations. I just feel that Banshees are your only option. Anything else gets owned.

Why makes banshees when you can make wraiths or hunter/jackal. Seriously, there aren't that many good combos for PoR. Banshees, Wraiths, Hunter/Jackal, that's about it. You might want to include some locusts with those wraiths too.

Re: I needz a Prophet strategy.

Really depends on what you are up against. Jackals rip ODST marines etc very quickly. Wraiths and locust are pretty weak, but I'd pick locusts. Upgrade them till you're ready to destroy a base, drop them in with grav lift or whatever, overdrive the base and its gone heh. I usually have something else upgraded and ready to go if they get killed.

If you know you're playing forge, odds are he's not building air, so hunters / banshees would be good. Banshees are weak health wise but they can harass and get out of places quick.

my strat is just rushing as soon as my temple is made and get unit building up and press in to kill the enemy. wraiths work well against unsc and infantry is good against covies. elite honor gaurds are also quite good early game as anti infantry and anti leader.

I get banned for no reason

Most of the time all you do with prophet is a tech build vs UNSC becasue tech 2 attacks are best nowadays, so you can sit back...get any hooks on the map...put pressure on their hooks...get tech 2 and start pumping out units like crazy...this lets you get ancestral which makes your por a ton more effective so he doesnt just get owned by a few hogs...The only time I would do a rush with por is vs arbiter because elite honor guard rush vs arbiter is hard to stop.  There are tons of strats with PoR but I think he is best at sitting back early game and teching because he has the best defense to the brute rush...which is the main rush these days.  Just scout and see what your opponent is making and go from there...banshees are not the only option...not by a long shot.

Re: I needz a Prophet strategy.

I feel like Locusts with PoR is over doing the PoRs strengths and not supporting his weaknesses...same with Banshees, not that I haven't done both.

I dunno...Its hard to find a good combo for him cause he changes with tech 3 and if you go banshees against Cov, you won't be getting that flying upgrade, which makes PoR useless late game.  If you go Locusts you can own a base in 10 seconds between the two of them, but your completely vulnerable in every way.

With PoR I like to do Wh - T -(start clearing a new base) Wh - Wh - Wh (get blessed IMO) - new base - Wh - Wh - SG (first base Citidel)...  He is the only leader that can have a base pretty much clear by the time I would upgrade to citadel, allowing me to instead build a brand new base and get 3 pads for 500 instead of 2 for 400.

I've gone Wraiths with him ealy game, my opponent built cobras to counter, I got flying and started beaming down his cobras, his partner brings in a vamp. I dodge the vamp and continue to piss him off while building hunters, I attack with the cobras/tanks/anti-air with hunters while using this opportunity to beam down his reactor and win.

Re: I needz a Prophet strategy.

i thot of a strategy where the prophets main goal is to get fully upgraded beam and fully upgraded and maxed out locust army. MIGHT AS WELL SELF DESTRUCT BASE! of course, you cant do that straight away, so if u have som frends, ask them to make a distraction.
