Scarab + Engineers

    Scarab + Engineers

    This is just total BS filled BS, and covered in BS.  I know how to counter it: wolverines/vampires for the engineers and then resuming attack on scarab.  However that still takes too much time and chances are it expends some ground units and buildings.  I really think that that engineers should be unable to heal scarabs either in combat or not at all.  The scarab should be heavy support unit, not a 1 unit awesomesauce army for the cost of 3,000.  I mean this tactic costed my team win in a 3v3 the other day.  I mean we had it in the bag, then boom Mega Scarab.

    My arby teammate did that today. He had two scarabs with the rest engineers and they destroyed an army of grizzlies maybe two and three bases

    hey man it fricken works......heavy support vehical or not, it works.

    Arbiters Friend:hey man it fricken works......heavy support vehical or not, it works.

    No *** it works...thats why it annoys the living *** out of me man.  That one unit survives MAC's, endless Canister Shells and rocket attacks, almost all at ounce.  WTF come on.

    Whenever i see a lone arby just attack my base and retreat you know he's building a scarab. there are signs you have to look for to stop it early on. Odds are he'll only have his arby and some engineers if you get there in time.

    just attack it or the engineers, if you want to quad mac it and then hit it will a couple canister, it will die. wolfwarines can kill the scarab if the engineers are dead its just that weak. also a couple spartan cobras locked down owns scarab faster than it can heal.

     Yeah I know but you need to understand that was soon after taking out one of the opposing players from the game.  This was on frozen valley and this was the middle guy we engaged first.  I had quick built a force of 6 scorpions and with the help of my cutter team-mate destroyed his 2 bases. And were in the act of attacking another opponent after each building bases in the place of the others we destroyed.  We took out 2 bases of that opponent, my teammate builds another, don't remember what our third guy was up to.  Then boom Mega Scarab.

    So I'm guessing the problem is that you guys thought you had won and stopped teching/expanding. Otherwise, Scarabs never pose problems. 

    This is actually one of the few threads saying it's too powerful. Everyone else wants it buffed xD

    Cutter's Mac Vs. Scarab = Dead Scarab.

     Ander's Upgraded Cyro Bomb vs. Scarab/Engineers = Dead/Crippled Scarab

     A Metric Ton of Grizzlies vs. Scarab = Dead Scarab, and immediate chance of revenge on the enemy.


    I can only please one person per day.

    Today isn't your day.

    Tomorrow isn't looking too good either.

    actually i think a grizzly will weigh more than a ton (most likely ~20 tonnes?) so your saying less than one grizzlies will win!

    The ability to constantly heal makes up for the fact that the Covenant don't get an insta-heal when pressing up on the d-pad.

    And the Mega-Scarab tactic is pathetic, a fully upgraded leader with a small army could make quick work of it. And the UNSC just have to focus their Special attacks and powers on it.

    The Scarab is not a Support vehicle it's a Heavy Assault Vehicle, meant to plow through armies.

    the most funny thing to counter that scarab would be a full upgreaded chieftan and it just keeps stunning the scarab while the brute's armies kill all the enemy bases.
