is it a viable 1v1 vs covie?

I have been listenin to stud and tm laugh about killing a guy's base with the little blue buggers, but I was wondering if anyone had tested it in 1v1 as a potential strat?  If so, what is the most effective way (BO including when to queue grunts)?

well you can use them to kill leaders, thats the most effective way. just get into a leader fight with thier leader within 2 min and send 1 in when he is distracted. only do it without leader powers.

I get banned for no reason

suicide grunt rush? no. suicide grunt harassment? yes.

i played Pvt Cross a long time ago. he used a few suicide grunts to harass my base very early game, allowing him to get an early lead. he eventually won, or maybe i just resigned, i cant remember (i was just a recruit back then).

It's well-worth it to suicide BWHs or to suicide a temple after you kill a leader before he can respawn. I wouldn't recommend trying to outright kill the center, though.

And suicide grunts definitely do not suck, they are incredibly underused.

They don't suck at all.  They are incredibly powerful during harrassment and gaining an early advantage in the game.  2v2 they are particularly powerful.

and suicide grunts are badass whenever they actually listen to you there a good way to gain eco advantage buy destroying a couple BWH early game and the temple.

I love suicide grunts, they are not used enough, sadly I hate when I tell them to blow something up and they just sit there looking stupid.

Suicide grunts are amazing,..The are not that glitchy either.  Except if you tell them to hit the BC they always seem to run to him and stop right before they blowup...or 1 or 2 grunts out of the squad will blow but thats about it.  They are awesome though and highly underused.
