My improved elephant rush!

    My improved elephant rush!

    well I dont know if anyone has thought of this yet but I just tried it today and it works very well surprisely.

    Ok so you scout resources next to your base first so you have the money before the elephant comes out, now make a elephant and reactor.this may souund dumb but it works much better than the regular elephant rush by alot. Ok so now once the reactor is made research twin engine and by the time it's researched the elephant should be finished.

    now recycle the reactor and make 3 SP's (you will have enough money from your warthog getting resources) now the elephant will get there twice as fast, and becuase it is there twice as fsat you dont have to hide it, instead take it behind the base and plant it and start wreaking havoc with marines and grenades. (or flamthrowers, whichever). then when you get the money get a reactor and research gunner, it will take alittle form how fast you make marines so make sure that you got atleast 5 out before doing this, now start making hogs and marines and becuase there economy is done for they cant do much to stop you. Use the warthogs to keep circling the base and make sure no turrets are made.

    interesting... and it will get a big buff with TU3

    ya, today James was not on, so tommorow if he is not on I'll just grab somone off my friends list, but im glad I didnt face you today to be honest, I played worse today than I ever have, I mean I seriously did better when I was first playing, but tommorow ready or not I'll play you I suppose

    I was playing at my best before I played him, and I still lost. (Mainly due to the fact I was being far to clever for my own good   =]   )

    I wish you luck.

    As for this strat, the main problem I have with an elephant rush is, if you put it right at their base, it's quite easy for a Spartan to Jack it, and turn it against you.

    that sounds like a really good idea i'll have to try it out sometime....with cutter usually i do something like SP (elephant) SP SP R (upgrade SPs) SP SP R B and then research stuff for marines or flamers and then start spamming them from the elephant. it takes too long, prolly like 5 or 6 mins. ur strat sounds good, cant wait to see those links to see how it works in action!

    This rush is not good. Twin engine? Big deal. Any covenant leader will kill the elephant. Also Unsc can just jack your elephant, use 1 mac blast/carpet bomb, etc.

    I didnt say it was good, I said I made it better, and it is =)

    After the TU, your rush will be alot better.

    Last time, I built a elephant right away and park it behind his base and his teammate carpet bomb my elephant before my 1 batch of marines could get out. I lost 400 supplies and he lost 600 but Cutter can't really recover from that early blow due to his economy bonus.

    Instead of putting the elephant right by their base I would say to hide it so they couldnt kill it as easily.  Make like 5 marines then attack O_o it would be slower but the elephant would be safer.

    Am I the only one to notice that this makes no sense...or am I going crazy...Maybe you just messed up with the strat when you put it on the forums but you say "research twin engine and by the time it's researched the elephant should be finished"  the elephant upgrades and is created out of the same building so how are you supposed to upgrade it and have one pop out when the upgrade is done...?!?!  You would have to make one then upgrade or visa versa...IDK maybe Im going crazy.  IMO these rushes suck...It leaves to much to chance...If you get spotted your rush is over and you lost however much an elephant costs. 

    And BTW that arbiter's TS is 5.  lol.  yes 5.  The prophet is a 30.  Still this wouldnt work against anyone decent...Even if you did get it back behind someones base it dosent take a rocket scientist to see marines magically appearing from behind your base and thing hrm...there is an elephant back there im going to go kill that now.

    Well he did say it was an IMPROVED elepphant rush. It is better than the normal elephant rush but that doesn't mean it is good.

    And I think he meant by the time you start researching twin engines your elephant should be created.

    the best elephant rush is to rush with 5 elephants with twin engine while turret upgrade is comming in. marines with new blood would the swarm the base and rpg will be researched later and then the base is dead, you will lose maybe 2 elephants but they cannot stop you if they are unsc unless the go straight to tanks. you can just make spartans to jack them :)

    people keep saying free sheed, where do i get one?
