I started about 5-6 minutes, so whether or not it was a rush is debateable, but the whole point is it was early and i got 2000 points. you will get that or just over that for a 20 minute game because of bonuses and this lasted less than 10, so i got the same amount of points in half the time by rushing.

I believe you wont get a lot of point if you rush and heres why:

• Supplies are used for one or maybe two unit instead of researching techs and that gives you points
• If your not playing 1vs1 then sometimes were partner(s) gets more points and if they get more points its usually 2500 or less and the other team mates get 1000 or less.
• If you have 2000, like you said you did, then most likely your teammates have got nothing, cus more points are accumilated if you dont rush your enemy.
• And rushing should be a right, only those who past the stage of not being a Fine Gent should have the privilage to rush.

Yeah thats great and all, but 9 times out of 10 when I brute rush someone, they just sell their ***, resulting in me getting only a few hundred points.  When I am at their base in 3-4 minutes with a few brutes and my chieftain, they usually resign the second they realize they don't have any units.  Not that I blame them cause who would want to sit around and watch their base die?

They really need to patch that portion of the game.  Instead of getting points for destroying a building, you should get points for all the damage, then a bonus for destroying it.

I saw someone say that the self destruct should have a 45 second timer, that would be a fantastic idea so fine gentlemen can't quit when they wan't to turtle against a covenant player.

Most everyone blows up against me as well.  I got about 150 points in some matches. Horrible...

My point exactly D33Op, if we had a 45 second self-destruct timer, we could at least get close to or just over 1000 points, instead of orchestrating a great chieftain rush only to have our fine gentleman opponent sellhis base before we get any points, because they sucked too bad to notice they were against covenant, who are good early game, and just turtled hoping that I wouldn't attack.

I'd say it's no longer a rush after 5 mins since by then all buildings are built (or they had the opportunity to) and they can build at least a small army. When you rush at 3 minutes in, they usually don't even have units out. So you'll get your 8.4, but only 100 or so points from the base. 800 points isn't all that much. And that's also assuming they don't just self destruct to spite you because you're a "ru5hing fine gentleman."

My friends and I usually lauch our attacks at about 7:30 in 3v3. An average game lasts about 14 minutes. One person will usually get 4000-ish points and the other two get 2000-ish. I'd say that's better than the 1000-100-100 spread I see when people triple leader rush which usually ends up taking 5-10 minutes, eh?

it is easier to get a lot of points by playing games that only last around 10 min, if u win. long games dont necessarly mean you will be a ton of points. you still need a good combat efficiency to be a lot of points. heck i got my general already and i always tried to make them resign asap, well i also played a ton of games  :)

Highest score not rushing: 14000

14000>3000

On average, teching up and not rushing will get you A LOT more points than rushing, plain and simple.
