    Warehouse Rumors

Is it true that once you get 5 upgraded warehouses you have reached the maximum limit of recorces that come in and if you build 6 it will not change?
Lol I still havent finished the campaign and this came out in March! :P

    Re: Warehouse Rumors

No. Sometimes it seems like it but I remember its not true. If you have a second base with all WHs with or without SG you get tons coming in quick. a 3rd base is overkill and 4th your mom needs to slap you......5th God needs to lightning bolt you and send you to hell.
    YEAH! TU4 lookin good!

    Re: Warehouse Rumors

They do get diminished returns but you still get more resources..

    Re: Warehouse Rumors

Warehouses/Supply Pads start to have big diminishing returns after 5. You will always gain supplies there doesn't seem ot be a cap although later on. 10+ WH/SPs they start to take a hell of along time to pay off.

    Re: Warehouse Rumors

In the demo, I made 3 bases all Heavy Supply Pads with Cobras defending each base. The A.I would send some Grunt squads from time to time that would get no where. I wanted to see the max number of supplies you could get. 999,999 was the max. But once I reached that nothing could decrease the amount. I had unlimited.

I had so many supply pads, each one would add ten rather slowly. I also had both Forerunner Supply Lifts.

    Re: Warehouse Rumors

A third base of SPs does help but not much more after that.

    Re: Warehouse Rumors

making more than 10 warehouses is pointless, but you will keep getting more resources faster each warehouse you get, but for each warehouse the value per minute of each one goes away, this is dimishing returns: this is the more warehouses you get the less they give, for example if you have one warehouse that gives you 200 resources a minute, Sweet! but when you get a second warehouse let's say you only get 300 resources a minute instead of 400 like you would expect because of dimsihing returns.

so after expanding it is best to make a your starter base or a base in the back of a map a bas with only supplie pads (upgreaded of course). that way you have a good, solid, amount of money coming in. =)

I answered a little more than you asked, sorry.

    Re: Warehouse Rumors

the diminshing rate of return stops after 5 heavy supply pads, after that each heavy supply pads adds 160 resources per minute.  10 heavy supply pads or blessed wharehouses produce 1960 resources per minute, and 11 would produce 2120.   But at a certain point building them becomes pointless, you can basically build a scarab every 90 seconds with 10 blessed wharehouses.

    Re: Warehouse Rumors

You can reach a limit on supplies per seconds, but I don't remember what it is.  I do remember I read it here in the forums.  Try searching for it.

    Re: Warehouse Rumors

There is an exact formula floating around somewhere on here. Is something like; number of warehouses x 1.4.

Forerunner supply pads are exempt from this formula, they give you a base amount.

    Here is the thread:

    Timotron says:

So this has come up enough that I went back through my notes to find the supply rate formula

S = supply rate of base building, N = number of supply pads total, Sm = modified supply rate for a warehouse or supply pad

    Sm = (S * 1.5) / (((N / (13)) + 1)

Base supply rate (S) is 2.5 for a normal supply pad/ warehouse

    S is 3.5 for a heavy pad.

In the build order template from this thread:

    http://www.halowars.com/forums/1/580162/ShowThread.aspx

The diminishing returns formula and table for supply pads is in the last tab of the spreadsheet.
