Maybe everyone knows, ImNotCreative3 is always on top, but the number of his games is locked at 189.  Everyone tried to raise the TrueSkill up to him, but it does not reached even if he retired.  Who gained their motivation to be the top if the 1st player did play only a month?

True Skill must be decayed.  If the top player need to play 1vs1 once every two weeks, and if he forgot how to play or caugh up hot strategy, that player must be lost.  Airlity, Orikami, toyo465, tombo_, manboo... most of Japanses top players said the same thing and lost their motivation to be higher.

Japanese players? I thought Halo never hit it off in a big in the Land of the Rising Sun. Anyway it does seem odd that someone can play a month reach number 1 and then leave and those still playing can't top him for some reason.

Ya, I go to japan to visit my cousins and it is anti Xbox over there, but some people do own one, and TS sucks, Robot it you are going to start lisinening to your fanbase try to talk to microsoft and or fix trueskill

Its because once you get to TS 43, you dont go up in TS at ALL, just down when you beat recruits.  Trust me, it really puts a damper on trying to rank up more. #1 keep away, top 20 2v2.

So why do you play keep away instead of standard 1v1? Oh yeah, its because no really good 1v1 players care about keep away, so you don't have much competition there. Can't take the heat in the real 1v1 playlist 'eh?

Anyway... I don't think TS needs to be decayed, but the leaderboards should only show active players. That would help keep the motivation for the top players to actually play.

Bro you are a nobody.  Play me 1v1 right now.  i actually run into more and better players that i know and dont know on 1v1 keepaway than i do 1v1 standard.  Its like a smaller playlist for good players.  Plus i dont gain any TS on 1v1 standard so it is no fun to play, i just play 1v1 GB if i want to play standard.

but yeah he got the highest skill very quickly and then didn't play anymore most likely because everyone is lower then him and playing would lower it

but that raises the obvious question how did he even get to that skill?

to play halo wars and have fun you've got to not care about skill/points because your not going to get the highest skill and your rarely gonna get much points because of resiging and self destructing

I'm at TS44.2ish, ranked 18th I believe. I'm going up steadily, and hope to be in the top 10 by the end of the week, but I don't think 1st-3rd is possible, even if I win 200-300 in a row from here. I could probably play on my v2 account and get top three in 100-200 games like Flow Chaze did but I've played so many games on my original it's just impossible now. When I got the game I screwed around and only cared about GB so I quit a lot of games and did stupid things, not knowing it would make it impossible to rank up eventually due to the nonsense TS system.

There's something wrong with the ranking system when you end up reaching sort of a hard barrier based on your games played. The old AoE ranking systems were never based on games played, so all players at 1690 skill were on equal footing. That's not the same here. Two 44 TS players move up and down at different speeds based on their games played.

nah dont reset the new gametype leaderboards, just the old ones.  I worked to hard for that 44 in keepaway.
