My idea for Halo 4 is that the Chief and Cortana are hit by an astroid speeding at 1000 miles per 50 seconds send them flying for 15 years until they finally reach Earth at a steady pace. But they find that a halo ring is orbiting around Earth.Soon their S.O.S signal is picked up by a U.N.S.C. destroyer called The Baracader. But the ship was destroyed by a bomb placed by an undercover SPARTAN .The spartan gets away by using a teleporter sending him to a room which the staff of the destroyed ship used in an emergancy. after the chief yanks cortana he runs through the teleporter the wrong way. The chief was supposed to stand still in the teleporter then wait to teleport. since the chief ran through the teleporter he ended up damaging his suit. After the chief teleported to a room where he finds a red C.Q.B spartan, which is the spartan who destroyed the destroyer. How ironic.The spartan fills the chief in on what has happend in the past 15 years.The spartan says that a Forerunner artifact landed on earth and that artifact was actually a cannon. And after the artifact came so did a halo ring which the earth happened to be right in the middle of it.Like the Arks core from halo 3.The halo ring was investigated and the U.N.S.C found out that the halo ring was going to fire 20 years after the chief and cortana were abandoned in space.The chief luckily appeared 5 years before the halo ring is supposed to fire.The spartan said that a war broke out because the U.N.S.C belive that the cannon is the only way to destroy the ring but the rings explosion would destroy the Eaarth. People feared that the U.N.S.C would destroy the ring with the cannon. So some people decided to form a rebelion called the ten rings . named after the ten Halo rings. Other people followed in thier foot steps and joined the rebelion or made thier own rebelion.All the rebellions built turrets outside the halo ring destroying all ships trying to land on halo. The ships had to use teleporters to get past halo.The spartan prodject was brung back to fight the rebels.The U.N.S.C need to use cortana to steer to halo ring away from Earth so that the explosion from halos destruction wont destroy Earth.That means that the chief needs to destroy all the major rebel groups that built the turrets then move onto halo and steer it away from the planet then destroy it. This is my idea for halo 4. There are other parts of the story i havent told you about though.

why are you posting things about halo "4" on a halo wars site?

plus there isn't going to be a halo "4" it's halo 3:ODST

This idea would not work for another Halo (if there were to be one).

You would go around slaughtering other humans without armor or decent weaponry. With basic plot-holes and other mess-ups to make others useless.

The game would not be fun, it seems completely one missioned.

I apologize for being a jerk, but please, no. I would rather play as you destroying the rest of the Brute armada looking for revenge, etc.

Anyone else here getting sick of tiny two-word posts that become huge because of the O.G. picture?

1.) there's only seven Halo Rings, eight of you include the Ark,

2.) Was the UNSC destroyer part of the rebel faction, or was the Spartan part of the rebel faction?(sorry, I'm just confused)

3.) I don't think an asteroid would've hit the ship, especially since they(117 and Cortana) were about to crash on another planet.

4.) But, the next game is Halo:ODST(was changed from Recon last I know), so it may be away before another game is made. And that's even if Bungie wants to make another, didn't Micro$oft purchase Halo,
