    People are nice online

Anyone ever notice how some people will send you a message saying

    "Good Game"

I vow to always send a person a message like this and ill make a list to it for everyone with me so if you want your name up here just write...

I _______ Vow to always congratulate my enemy to a good game after to match is over even if i win or lose.

    Re: People are nice online

I haven't done this before but when I come up against a person that I thought was a good opponent I try to prefer them so I will hopefully get matched up with them later.

That is a really good idea.  I get tired of getting nasty msgs from ppl after they lose.  It gets really annoying.  I usually send them bad feedback but I don't really know how much that helps.

I try to be nice to everyone I meet online and have good sportsmanship.  It just upsets me to hear that sort of stuff online.

I hope people start doing this.  I know I will.

    Re: People are nice online

Yeah after a game, I got like a hate message saying that I was the worst opponent that they fought and never want to play them again??? I have no idea, what I did, I think it was because I elephant rushed him... Pretty funny how angry someone can get over a game, probably doesn't have a life.
Overflow, the name for Flood Survival, its a good idea...

I always try to say good game to the people I play against.

"Dear Humanity, we regret being alien bastards, we regret coming to Earth, and we most definetly regret that the Corp just blew up our raggedy ass fleet! HOO RAH!"

Sounds like you rush. people dont like rushers people like long hard faught games were you have to constantly addapt or lose.

    Thats my experiance anyways.

Yea, I meet a lot of nice people in 3v3 Standard.  I have been getting lucky though because a lot of people say that their teammates dont have mics but mine always do :D

    Re: People are nice online

OK we as a comunity need too actually let the game end, so ppl get the points, if they played well and u have no units left, and down to your last base, dont destroy it, give the points

    I DO IT

why cant other people do this? its as good as saying "good game" its probablly better.

but if they are waiting for super units or milking points. do whatever you feel. lol

I DO IT but if there taking to long, i destroy everything except a supply pad and give all the supplies to my partner. ALLWAYS!

this is good game behavior,  ^_^ sory if im off topic, I didnt feel like making another Forum

    Re: People are nice online

I haven't quite understood why rushing is done so much.  I know that not everyone has an hour to spend on a game, but the longer you play, and the more units you destroy, the more points you get.

The first time I rushed someone I won in about 4-5 minutes, if that.  When I looked at my score it read 835 points.  Then I had a match that lasted for about 45 minutes and I scored over 15,000.

So lets see, quick rushes equal less points than long matches, and points equal rank and achievments.  Why again do people rush so much?

Because if I can win against people who aren't prepared for a rush, (I rush mainly as a delaying tactic but if I can end it... hey I'm okay with that) I'll get the same amount of points in the same amount of time, I will just have beaten more people.

Picture this:  You're in a big Halo tournament, instead of winning the game against the guy you were playing, you decided to instead hang back to get more points.  "Heh," your opponent says, "good game but I beat you."  "What?" you say, "Who cares if you won by rushing?  When I don't rush I get tons of points for ranks and achievements! WOO!"

So, I guess it comes down to this, if you can win why wouldn't you want too?  Would you rather win or get a higher rank?   Would you rather be a general with a lower win percentage rating or a rusher who might not be as high a rank but have a lot better of a record?  Would you rather be known for someone who has a lot of points, or someone who, you know, wins?  I'm not saying rushing guarantees a win, but it certainly helps get a lot of wins.

    Re: People are nice online

I wish I got those messages.

All I got was a message saying 'U R a crap team player'

Just because I decided I wasn't going to help him, because I didn't have anything that would counter it, and I'd almost been overrun twice, and they hadn't helped me, so I wasn't really in the mood to send everything I had to help them.

I did apologise later in the game, and he still sent me that, even when I killed two enemies myself.

    That's gratitude for you.

I would rather get points, rank, and achievments.  Notoriaty doesn't really interest me.  Winning occasionally is fun, but since I get points even if I lose it's not really a concern of mine.  Whatever floats thy boat.

    Re: People are nice online

I won a very tight 1v1 that lasted almost an hour. After it, my opponent sent me a message saying "good run". I reciprocated his kindness and now, we're on each other's friends lists. In fact, I gave him positive player feedback because he was such a nice guy. Kindness pays.
