As most of us know already we watched 3 spartans kill about 30 elites...Then while this slaughter is taking place Seargant Forge is killing Arbiter. After he dies and the can see the spartan throw him off the edge how does he come back into halo 2 and 3 when halo wars takes place 20 years before the halo event? Dont flame becasue maybe i am missing something....I haven't read the books.... can some please help me understand how this is possible.

yea theres like tons of arbiters and they just make new ones each time one dies. but there can only be one at a time.

There has been tons of arbiters in the past. They are usually chosen from elites who have done something to disgrace their honor. Arbiters are not expected to live long. This can be told due to the Prophets sending them on all the suicide missions. Watch

Play the beginning of Halo 2 and you will see the Fleet of Particular Justice Commander getting tried for his "Heresy" of not protecting a Holy Ring(Installation 07 if I am correct). If you continue to play Halo 2, after the Prophet of Regret runs away from Earth to Delta Halo(the second Holy Ring) and the In Amber Clad pursues, a cutscene will play out the continuation of the beginning cutscene. The Commander of the Fleet of Particular Justice is dragged to the "Mausoleum of the Arbiters." You should see a lot of coffins in the walls with all the dead Arbiters from the past.

The arbiters are all different, the arbiter in halo wars is the 17th, and the one in halo 2 and 3 is a different one. The arbiters are sent on suiside missions to claim honour. The reason you would of thought they were the same was because of the armour as they re-use the same armour and their skills as they get only discraced skilled elites.

Actually did anyone else think that forge should have got absolutly made by the arbiter?

I mean c'mon seriously, Forge pulls some fancy moves and dodges a bit, but all the arbiter needs to do is grab him and rip his head off! I mean, the arbiters so huge, it would be like pulling the top of a christmas cracker off - which is sickening I know but still!

I mean imagine this:

Foreg does all those fancy moves right up until he gets punched in the stomach, and then Ripa picks him up and rips his head off :D

I only got into the halo franchise in november lol and my mate was like 0_o at me when i asked him.

Who knows. Forge is just a badass, lol. They needed him to blow the place up, so Arby couldn't kill him. that would screw up the story, and give Ensemble more work to do, so they made him live =P

I read the Cole Protocol and I doubt that that is the same Elite from the book. It could be cuz of the time line but I doubt it.
