    The Solution for RESIGNING

why people keep resigning? even if you dont rush they resign when they see all your army, so ROBOT please for next update make a PENALTY for people that resign or destroy their bases cuz this is getting out of hand, i havent rank up cuz all the games that we won we just get like 40 point and 1500 max on 3v3.

if they resign the winner gets extra 2000 bonus poinst and the guy who resign gets -(the total points of the winner, including bonus) then subtracted from their total gaming experience for HW. so these way people are going to be downgraded from their ranks and its going to make people stay till they are eliminated.

    RUSH or GET RUSHED!
*Note: to call it rush, it has to be in less than 5 mn.

    Re: The Solution for RESIGNING

What if the guy playing had a power outage, thus causing him to resign.

And you had collected the most points possible in a game.

    His GS just got decimated.

    Re: The Solution for RESIGNING

Lol this is one of the stupidest complaints I've ever seen.  Sure in an FPS like Halo 3 quitting before the game is over is lame because you leave your teammates and stuff like that.  But in an RTS resigning is just part of the game.  It is what you do when you realize that you are going to lose.  It saves the other player the pain of destroying all your buildings.  So then why do people complain about it in Halo Wars?  Because they want their points and rank, neither of which means anything.  There really shouldn't be a penalty for resigning, however there already is (you get less points).  Just because you like to sit there and beat up on someone you've already beaten to rack up your score does not mean that person should have to stick around while you do so.

That's why they gave you the ability to destroy your own buildings.

We Ride Dolphins- currently top 10 on Halo Wars GB 3v3. Look us up.

I know, if you've lost you should just destroy all your buildings so you don't lose your bonus points at the end.  But complaining that people do this is stupid.

Not a bad idea, but they should not lose points. You should just gain 1000 bonus points. IMO 2000 is going way over the limit. Well a great idea anyways, but who knows what will be in the upcomming DLC.

    Re: The Solution for RESIGNING

People that think that if they beat someone that person should have to sit there while they take their time killing them so they can keep points are so arrogant and frankly just jerks.  Giving you points when someone resigns is a terrible idea and completely unnecessary.  As I said before, points don't even mean anything so stop worrying so much about them.  Your trueskill makes you good, not the stupid rank symbol.

    Re: The Solution for RESIGNING

they should just make it so that when you resign the winner will get the points that is on the map, even if the winner did not destroy it(ex. the main base and the 3 units gaurding the main base) so the winner would just get all of the points that are left on the map (plus the points the winner already won, duh)

    Re: The Solution for RESIGNING

No, there is nothing that needs to be changed about this.  Just because you want more points faster doesn't mean the game needs to be changed.

Ffs.. im sick of dicks like you going "The points dont matter blah blah" sure maybe not to you! But the points and ranks are there for people who want to achieve and show what they have done and they shouldnt lose out on points for winning.. that just makes no sense..

    I agree Clutch

any ways id rather admit defeat rather than se my base blow up to opposing forces as i can do nothing to help it but you shouldnt care about points anyways

I agree 100%. Once the losing player resigns, the winning player should get the points for whatever is worth on the map.

And the points do matter. They improve your rank, so many people care about them and not just TrueSkill.

Well, the loser should have played better. If he did, then he would be the one to "uber decimate" the opponent. The winner should get rewarded for beating the loser, even when the loser tries to undercut the winner's winnings.
