The "circle" came to my mind, and I was thinking: Marines have RPGs to take out aircraft, but are grunts just as effective? Can anyone answer this for me? Thanks.

Covenant turrets anti-aircraft upgrade uses needlers, so I guess that's it for grunts.

All the covie infantry suck against aircraft with the exception of the leaders.  The vampire is pretty much the only decent anti air unit they have, apart from the scarab

Without the needler upgarde, the circle is incomplete.  But needlers pwn aircraft hard.

You know, I find it strange that needlers destroy aircraft, because in Halo 3, the needles skimmed off the banshees and hornets. Not to mention warthogs and tanks and choppers and ghosts and wraiths (those are ground vehicles anyways). But they were great vs organic beings. This is confusing...

In the halo novels, the covenant use some sort of gigantic needler variant as anti air.  It talks about it more in first strike I think

Vultures are classed as uber units, and I creamed them with Vampires. Enemy Scarabs were easily beaten with a combination of my large army and my several MAC blasts.

EDIT: Also, the Arbiter can be beating with anti-infantry + disruption bomb, then quickly destroying his temple before he can make another.

Forge killed the arbiter and he isnt an uber unit... there are so many contradictions between campaign and MP its laughable...

I dont think you even fought him in the campaign just watched him make angry faces in cutscenes

Forge didn't kill the Arbiter. He resigned because Forge had 12 Grizzlies waiting outside the base.
