    Halo Wars definetly

Red Alert 3's controls on the 360 were so confusing. Red Alert 3 had some pretty cool units

they are two diffrent games designed for a diffrent style of playing it would be unfair to compare the two.

Halowars is built for casual players while the command and conquer games have always given hardcore rts players a home.

if Red alert 3 is anything like C$C3 then im not even going to give it a second glance, i would rather burn the game then buy it

    Red Alert

    controlls are so much easier.

gameplay, i would say are about the same but i like RA just a bit more

    units...hmm.. mixed realy.

strats - RA has a GIANT variaty of strats because of the free build, i think halo wars is pretty linear because of pre-slot building

i probs spelt everything wrong.. 1 in the morning :(

    Halo Wars by far...

I love how you can click on all your units that you see on your screen by just pressing RB and you can also press LB to get all your units and scroll through them with RT , i just cannot wait to be able to use the grizzly tank from leader forge.

Also, i like how your unit will not move if one of your other units are blocking their entire path(can't get around at all) because then it stops lag from happening, seriously that's what would make the A.I on other RTS games lag.

ES was brilliant with this game i just hope microsoft doesn't try screwing them in the sequel and their will be a sequal they could start a whole bunch of Halo Wars, just doing different planets/and storylines ex. Halo Wars fall of reach. they could even make a Halo wars for Halo 3 and call it Halo Wars Earth's Judgement and base their maps with all different maps around the world.

The pre-slots are what makes it much more strategic, i wasn't up for this firebase idea(hated it infact) but now i totally agree with it, you really have to be careful what you build and what you don't and it adds an extra depth that has never been seen.

I just started playing C&C red alert 3, and my first impression are not overwhelming. first thing i have noticed were the controls, wow in my opninion overloaded and the whole control setup is bad designed for example if you want to select all units you have to press LB+X+X in halo wars LB is enough or using a units special abillity RB+X+A in halo wars just Y. dont missunderstand me i dont want to say that this game is rubish, but it is realy noticable, that it was developed primarily for the pc. its not so intuitive and self explaning as halo wars. of course halo wars dosent have so much complexity but i mean its is just much easier to controle units or build your base etc. just select a vehicle depo and build some tanks etc only a few actions on the controler maybe pressing <= on the dpad to select your base moving over your depo and your almost done while in C&C you have those R trigger ring menus which a pretty confusing and not realy neatly arranged. well this is just my opnion you can agree or just dissagree maybe its just a question of time to learn all contols in C&C and get used to it.

Red Alert 2 pwns both of them.

RA2 is, and always will be, my favorite RTS game ever created.  Saddly, EA took over after RA2 and screwed over the rest of the CnC games.

Worst mock ever made to the RTS genre versus the RTS that revolutionized the genre on the console?

No, that's really a hard choice...

Re: Halo Wars vs Red Alert 3 (xbox 360 version)

i am a top RA3 player and i will give my 2 cents

    RA3 is by far superior.

    HW is very nub friendly

RA3 is based completley around micro battles while

HW is based around Macro battles.

    Micro>Macro

plus RA3 has more indepth macro

The only reason i play HW is because RA3 is dead.  There might be 100 people a day that play it.

not only that but you have the option of who you play so all the nubs will back out on you if your a top player.

increasing the time it takes to get a game.
