I heard that Microsoft wants to work closely with their new studio for patches and the like. I think It would be a good way to get them on their feet. Also I seriously need a new Age Of game now, AoE III was good but a little disappointing.

I remember reading here that the new studio will fully support Halo Wars. And I agree with Minion321, I liked AoE II more than AoE III

Well, Hello people, I'm Ukurse and I was banned.
My new Account is IamUkurse. I practically never post on the forum.

Well if the new company that is in place of ES makes it....then it wont be an ES game really.

But if the people originally from ES make another gaming company and continue to work then it could truely be an AOE 4.

Luckily 60% of ES people are working in the new studio headed by ex Ensemble head Tony Goodman so that should happen. It has been suggested in interviews that Age is something the studio might start working on. Though the new studio is missing Bruce Shelley and who knows who other high profile ES people,  Pottinger, Devine, Jones etc.

They would not own the rights to the AoE games if they did make another company and so Microsoft could take legal action if they did that.
