Has anyone noticed the combat triangle?

According to the guide, vehicles beat infantry, infantry beat aircraft, and aircraft beat vehicles. Has anyone noticed this, or tried to use it? I tend to use the specialized units instead of working the triangle.

     1. Does the triangle exist/is it effective?

    2. Do you use it at all?

I think the triangle exist, but only with certain units.

    The wolverine > Aircraft

    Vampire > Aircraft

    Jackels > Marines

    Hunters > Vehicles

    ect.

(those units above are "said" to have better chances against their counter.)

If you mean the rock, paper scissors function then yes everyone knows about it and it does exist.

Everyone uses it but its probably the way you think.

An upgraded hornet can beat a bunch of infantry who are not upgraded.

Fyrkawk, isn't that the difference between specialized units and all units in general?

And Hellhoy, I agree that an upgrade anything can win a fight against it's predator at a weaker level. But standard infantry beat banshees or hornets at the same tech level?

It seems more prominent while playing as Covenant.  My marines were decimated by Covenant air support, but when the USMC tried to attack my base with raptors, my grunts cleaned house.

Of course I've only played as Covenant once, on Easy.  I've played USMC at least 6, 3 times on Heroic, of which only once did i win.
