Some people Think that the Master chief is the last and only spartan out there. But, there is another, Linda and scout sharp shooter lived threw the attack on Reach when the Covenant  glass Reach. the chief and Team red (a grope of Spartans) try to secure important information on  one of the mac guns orbiting Reach. When the Chief finally get there there is already 2 KIA, witch left Linda and John (AKA Master Chief) Linda is fatly burned in trying to leave with the chief by plasma. When they got back to "The Pillar of Autumn" the Chief puts here into a Cryo-tube. When Captain Keyes puts the Autumn into a Crash landing All of the used Cryo tubes are put into Long swords and Pelicans. After the destruction of Halo, the chief, as it looked after halo 1 was the only one who made it, without the cryo-tube with the longsword, but that wasn't the case, a Pelican was on another side of a asteroid around halo,  the chief was running out of gas and needed some fast, they meet up with the Pelican, dodging the Covenant flag ships, they meet and hook up, There was Polanski, Sergeant Johnson and a pilot , And a fulled Cryo-tube, witch had Linda in it, if you read the books, thats all in it, and if you read First strike and Fall of Reach, (i do not recommend the flood it is a pointless book i think) they Capture a Covenant Flag ship, and so on and so on, i don't want to wreck the story up to that part, but the Chief isn't alone and there is also another 2, Fred and Kelly, both Spartans.  So halo 3  is going to be exciting
