does the author do the cover art? i wouldn't think so. also, aren't the enders maze books about a future program to train kids to fight aliens? sounds like halo kinda stole that one doesn't it? i'd say it's a fair trade.

Looks pretty tame to me. I'd be very impressed if Orson did do his own cover art.

It would be hard for bungie or any one to file a lawsuit over the cover art since all he has to do is prove that there is at least one change to the design of the tank and then he is in the clear.

you are forgetting.  this new book is not part of the Ender series, is it?...

And there were no tanks in the Ender series were there?

therefore, bungie stole nothing.  the spartan program was Clones, not children from Earth families.  The tanks are an original bungie design.  Honestly, how hard would it be for the cover artist to design his own tanks.

i'm aware it's not an enders maze book. and i'm not accusing bungie of stealing his idea. you guys say it looks like the scorpion. well, i agree, but halo also sounds alot like other books made by the same guy. and his books came first. or, maybe, just maybe, he asked bungie if he could use the design.
