    Unit colors

I was wondering why that the campaign colors have not changed despite the fact this was one of the most complained about things.
Perhaps the video I saw was not representative, but it was the most recently released one.

And if what I believe to have seen was indeed campaign images, and I think it was, then every single covenant unit got smudged with a bucket of purple paint.

    Thoughts? Explanations?

    Re: Unit colors

the reason why the covenant is purple in the campaign is because in all of the other halos they are purple in the missons, and the same for the unsc. you can change the colour in online battles so you dont get mixed up. is that what you are saying?????

    Re: Unit colors

Personally, I think it just looks juvenile and oversimplified to have all of each sides units be exactly the same color. The unit shapes are distinctive enough that it is not necessary for unit identification (you are not gonna mix up a scorpion and a scarab). It results in the campaign looking less like a battle and more like a children's board game.

This what i've been saying for the whole entire month of January:

"The covenant units look like this blob of one color."

But I enjoyed that new awesome video that shows many things suggested. Including the Halo 2 scarab improving to a Halo 3 scarab.

The video was worth it. I might try to even find a way to put it on my Ipod Nano. =]

I did get banned yes, and the mods never explained why (though I know why, they couldn't handle the fact my arguments were waterproof).
And I see you haven't changed one bit, still being the spamming poster you are.

And yes, the Lodex above already got banned it seems (as I cannot log in with it for some reason).
So I just made this account to have my final post, as this forum nolonger is of any use, since ES already did the damage.

Such a shame...you can now ban me again Lethe (yes I know it was you, you must feel pretty good about yourself not responding to any of the mails I sent to the webmaster, you big man you).

Don't let the noobs take over...

    Re: Unit colors

So, if you want unit colours to be the more than just one colour, how do you propse to tell the difference between teams in the campaign. Player has units, allied AI in the campaign, where applicable, will have units, need to  be able to figure them out. Also, there may be more than one team in the covenant in some levels, so you need to be able to see whats with what team. its a;ll a part of it being an RTS

    Re: Unit colors

I'm really not going to discuss all the alternatives that have been suggested MANY TIMES.
Use your brain, I'm sure you'll think of the various options I have in mind...they are very obvious.

Besides, none of this matters anymore. ES knows what the alternatives were, but they have this problem with their pride...they just don't feel good about themselves if fans suggest a better system.

PS: you haven't changed Felix, I just saw a few of your recent posts.
You are just another average member here with awful grammar.
