Out of 2006-present day, I was most impressed with the 2006 build,and least impressed with the 2008 build.  Although now, the game is starting to look better.

me too i think it started out great but then got worse  and just got worse and worse but im starting to get used to the new format and the games getting better

The game seemed great to me the whole time...

But as of now, Halo Wars is the game i want...

It has evolved into something wonderful...

My desire for the game went down pretty quick after E3 08. It hasn't really gone up since then, although there was a brief spike when Thunder, who was a pretty decent guy, 'clarified' what the Cyclops was.

I like it the most in '08.

Mainly because I hadn't been paying much attention to HW prior to then but when I saw it I was very impressed with a few of the thing ES had done, like the super powers and the Y button abilities.

After that my hype died down, not that I was disappointed with what ES was doing with the game but I was starting to realize some problems that were inevitable, like 2 factions. ES has done there best to counter this, as there are only 2 faction in the haloverse with the exception of the flood, which would destroy either canon or gameplay.

But lately I have become more interested with HW as the release date inches closer.

Of course, back then it looked more like a Gundam but its design has since changed to be more suitable for its fictional premise.
