Looks like its either been canceled, or hasn't been updated in a long time, or hasn't been publicly anounced yet, because Bungie is independant of Microsoft and isnt likely to produce any new games or "interactive movies" with them. but i havnt seen anything about it on Bungie.net.

i believe halo cronicles was either the movie, or supposed to be a semi-movie/game

banned, for no good reason. I will be back though, and I intend to kick some serious ass...

It is a game in development by Peter Jackson's recently formed games studio Wingnut Interactive that has been described as "more of an interactive movie [in comparison to other video games]," "[sort of a] Gears of War meets Halo in terms of gameplay," and "something that's really good and hasn't really been seen before."

There are also rumors of it being episodic in nature and being released as a series of Xbox Live Arcade games.

There has been very little news since it was first announced, the most significant revelation being its working title (which is why you know it as Halo Chronicles as oppossed to "Unamed Peter Jackson Halo Project").

It's supposed to become a semi-playable game, and is set to be released for 30-40 dollar. It wouldn't be made by Bungie but by the studios that also worked on the LoTR movies. Nobody knows if the project is still even alive, as it has been really quiet around it after it's announcement, but considering the fact that there already are so much halo projects being marketed right now that shouldn't be too strange.

 

So far all we know, i't's anybodys call what's it going to be or to feature.

Fenix is Right, It's a Semi-movie-game..... Its an Interactive movie.... Im not gonna buy it until i Hear more about it....
