    Thoughts on the vampire

This thread has been created for the sole purpose of displaying the Community's thoughts on the Vampire.

Before posting here, please take a look at the Vampire's manual page, which can be found here, unless you have done so already.

Now, all topics regarding the Vampire may be posted here, which includes your opinion, how you plan to use it, your thoughts on it's abilities, and how it compares to other units (such as the vulture).

To start off discussion, do you think that the statis bomb will have similar affects to the UNSC's cryro bomb?  If so, how do you plan to use it, if at all?

    Re: Thoughts on the vampire

The vampire doesn't make that much sense to me, as it is an aa air unit, so it can easily be taken out enemy aa while trying to do it's job.

    Re: Thoughts on the vampire

As an anti air vehicle it sure does have a nasty ground attack from the sounds of it. The name doesn't really match any of the covie followings. Unless of coarse it's a brute aircraft. If it was though I would have thought of it being called something lame like Attack Jet seeming as how they call their version of a ghost Chopper.  Apparition or Floating Bed Sheet would be a way cooler name.

Actually, it does match the covie followings.

Ghost, banshee, wraith, spectre, spirit, shade, phantom.

    Now what are those?

Why, they are all named as some sort of supernatural entity, and a vampire is a supernatural  entity, so how doesn't it fit into the covenant followings?

Who knows about it's ground attack, and it doesn't matter as much, since it is an anit-air unit, meaning that it wasn't designed for ground combat, but for taking out enemy air units.

    Re: Thoughts on the vampire

Weather the name follows the the rest of the units depends on weather you consider them to be named after types of ghost or just undead things.

    Re: Thoughts on the vampire

Well lets just go ahead and make a zombie, ghoul, and mummy vehicle. I mean seriously vampire? I understand Locust and Scarab. But they always followed a ghostly appeal. Find 1 vehicle that doesn't match that. (aside from the brute vehicles)

I think the ghoul would have been a good name.
