some upgrades include, spartan laser, AI's (both for spartans only) Also the grizzly variant for the scorpion. I know ther are a lot but I cant really remember. Got to Halopedia. (Halo.wikia.com)

Yea i'd just o to the halo wiki for these. Most of them should be there.

But all in all, i think almost every unit can be upgraded in some sense of form or another. 

I suspect lower units such as grunts or marines will have more upgrades than say the scarab or vulture.

Currently known upgrades are:

Marines upgrade grenades to rocket launcher.

Grunts do the same with plasmas to fuel rod gun.

Warthog upgrades from no turret to LAAG and then maybe Gauss.

Scorpians upgrade to Grizzley Variant (Double Cannon)

Hornets upgrade to Sparrowhawks (Confirmed on Ask a Mod thread)

Vultures upgrade there Missle barrage. 

Spartans upgrade to hold A.I.s

Spartans also upgrade to wield use Chain-guns or Spartan lasers.

Powers upgrade (Stronger Bombing run, More MAC rounds, etc)

That's all I can think of, Covenant ones are few, but definetly be more when we get more info.

Its been said over and over the Grizzly is a Upgraded model of the Scorpion, but appearantly you can choose how many units you want to upgrade or something cause theres several pics which show normal scorpions along with Grizzlies. 

AND the Sparrowhawk and Hornet are not variants...where you get that from?

field commander should provide health/unit boost. EX: Arbiter should be able 2 promote elites or have a charge second attack.
